McGehee Owlfest 2015 will be held on October 2nd and 3rd. Tour de Hoot bicycle ride is returning in 2015. This event benefits the McGehee Boys and Girls club. For details and registration for Tour de Hoot, Owlfest Pageant, 5K Run Walk, Food and Craft Vendor and current updates of Owlfest 2015, visit the website www.mcgeheeowlfest.weebly.com.
Also, a new event to Owlfest is a Cheese Dip Contest – a “People’s Choice Award” with festival-goers voting for their favorite. The Annual 5K Run/Walk sponsored by UAM College of Technology Hospitality Department is an exciting experience drawing just over 100 participants last year. As in years past, food, music, arts/crafts vendors and children’s events are a great draw. Come to McGehee and experience Owlfest and you will be hooked!
